HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR JEWELRY
Remove your jewelry during sports and physical activities. The crown that holds the stone could become loose, thereby risking loss of your stone.
Avoid contact with hard or rough objects. Even though a diamond is the hardest mineral, it can crack if impacted by a powerful blow at a particular angle. Other precious stones such as emerald, kunzite, opal, peridot, tanzanite, tourmaline, or pearls are very soft and can be easily scratched.
Do not expose your jewelry to extreme temperatures and protect it from household cleaning products.
Remove your jewelry before going to bed. Every piece should have its separate storage box lined with fabric (e.g. the box in which you purchased your jewelry) or a textile bag in a jewelry box.
Have your jeweler conduct complete maintenance of your jewelry once a year. ALO diamonds offers only jewelry of the highest quality and also offers you free warranty and post-warranty lifetime service (provided that the jewel is not physically damaged). Your annual examination includes
- polishing and cleaning
- renewal of finish (matte, sanding)
- inspection of mounting and any necessary remounting of the stone
- rhodium plating of white gold
CARE FOR PEARLS
The best thing you can do for your pearl jewelry is to wear it regularly. Soft friction against your skin will polish your pearls and preserve their characteristic shine.
Word of caution: pearls should not come into contact with chemicals including perfume, makeup, and hair products. If they do, they can lose their shine and their surface can take on an unpleasant matte appearance.
Store your pearls in a cushioned box or wrapped in a soft fabric. Separate them from other jewelry that might scrape their sensitive surface.

CARE FOR GEMSTONES
While some precious stones such as sapphire or ruby fall right behind diamonds as some of the hardest minerals in the world, it certainly does not mean that they are indestructible.
Do not expose them to sharp impacts, friction against rough surfaces, or contact with chemicals. Store them in a cushioned box or individually wrapped in soft fabric so that your jewels will not scrape against each other.
As far as cleaning is concerned, various types of precious stones require different kinds of care. Some are sensitive to everyday household cleaning products, others do not respond well to sudden changes in temperature.
When cleaning individual types of precious stones, always follow our recommendations. Unless indicated otherwise, it is sufficient to carefully clean your precious stones with a special jewelry cleaning product and to wipe them dry with a soft cloth.
ALO DIAMONDS OFFERS A LIFETIME SERVICE FOR EVERY PIECE OF JEWELRY PURCHASED. EACH PIECE OF JEWELRY DESERVES EXPERT INSPECTION AND CLEANING ONCE PER YEAR. YOU CAN RECEIVE EXPERT CARE IN OUR BOUTIQUES OR FROM OUR AUTHORIZED DEALERS.
